Notifications, improved chat and more: May updates
The most requested update is here: mobile notifications for messages and match proposals. Plus an installable app and a chat that finally feels like WhatsApp.
We’ve been getting the same message for weeks: “when are you adding notifications?” It’s here. This update brings what you asked for most, plus a few things you probably weren’t expecting.
Mobile notifications — finally
From now on you’ll get a notification on your phone when someone sends you a message in a match chat, when a teammate opens a proposal to reschedule, and when a proposal is accepted or rejected.
Without having to open the app. Without having to remember to check. You arrive at the chat when there’s something for you.
To enable them, the app will ask for permission the first time you open it. Accept and you’re done.
Installing the app is now possible
If you’re on mobile, you’ll see a small banner at the bottom of the page that lets you install Reservo on your home screen. No app store required — two taps and it’s installed like a regular app.
The installed app loads faster, works better, and is where your notifications will come from.
Rescheduling a match: only one player per team needed
Before, moving a match required all team members to agree to the change. Now one player from each team is enough.
Less waiting, less coordination, more matches played.
Cancelling a match from the chat
You can now cancel a match directly from the chat, without having to navigate to another screen.
Keep in mind that cancelling the match also releases the court booking. If you’d already paid or confirmed the court with the club, that booking disappears. Only cancel when you’re sure the match isn’t happening.
The chat, for real this time
The match chat has gone from being a functional screen to feeling like an actual chat. Message bubbles, date dividers, more natural scrolling — more like WhatsApp, less like a form.
Schedule change proposals are still there, integrated into the conversation, but the rest of the experience is much more comfortable.
